A dust collector does exactly what its name indicates - it collects and captures dust, fumes, gas, smoke, odors and other bi-products created in the work environment. A dust collector can either be an enclosed vessel, ducted to multiple collection points through the shop, capturing the particles and then filtering the air at one central point in the facility or it can be a portable configuration featuring a capture arm which offers flexible collection points. Depending on the number of workstations it is attached to, the size and horsepower of the dust collector can be customized in order to create a safe and dust-free environment for workers at multiple stations.
